I studied film, then completed my training with subjects in visual anthropology, contemporary art and cultural studies. I worked in a film lab and teach experimental cinematography and documentary filmmaking.
As a film artist I concentrated on developing my film work alongside essay and experimental film and the plastic aspects of filmmaking, such as film material, apparatus and projected image. I developed sound art work mainly in field recording, alternative sound sources and noise.
As a researcher I am interested in the relationship between art and document, the discourses of representation of reality, the rhetoric of political art and the role of the artist as critical historian. Three important poles I work with are history, landscape and the filmic device.
My work is part of the catalogue and distributed by Light Cone Paris.
