Attached to questions of image and perception, space and exhibition, Hélène AGOFROY has been exhibiting since 1985, building structures between Italian Renaissance geometric figures and minimal art: (Musée Tournus, Musée Arles). Since the 90s she has been playing with the register of ordinary images, using installation as a principle of montage (La Boxe Bourges, Galerie Lebon Paris, 95 Institut CF Turin, 97 Cac Le Quartier Quimper, Frac Corse Corte, 98 Villeneuve d'Ascq Musée d'art moderne, IAC Villeurbanne). The videos, previously seen as images integrated into installations, become pieces in their own right, producing their own display device (2003 Rennes Galerie Art et Essai). She practices performance as an art of attitude (2002 performance conference at Iselp Brussels, 2003 'Jack' a camera on the shoulder, Confluences Paris) and sets up open creative processes: HOME-MADE and its exhibition mode HOME-SCAPE 2005. In 2006, her interest in the role of the public led her to create Le Quartier, an exhibition to mark the 16th anniversary of the Quimper Art Centre.
